27 September 2011Rebuilding Together San Diego is hosting a mini Resource Fair which includes document destruction by Shred-it (from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM), Grid Alternatives-Solar Energy Panel Program and SDG&E-CARE and Energy Savings sign up, light bulb exchange, along with other programs and services to assist low to moderate income families throughout San Diego. Also features will be the federal Cricket Lifeline credit. Four homes are slated to receive TLC, including paining, landscaping, carpentry, electrical and other repairs. Lunch and refreshments will be served. Street parking; please carpool if possible.
Fallbrook Recycling/Clean Up Day – September 17, 2011
01 September 2011Annual CleanUp and Recycling Day Scheduled scheduled by I Love A Clean San Diego, the California Coastkeep and the California Coastal Commission. Residents will have an opportunity to shred old paperwork, recycle their electronic waste (e-waste), computer hard drives destroyed before recycling, and dispose of household and car batteries. No tires or household chemicals will be accepted. The event takes place at the northeast corner of Pepper Tree Lane and South Mission between 9am and 12 noon.
